Debbie Lew (the concierge) is a gem. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to assist guests with every detail of their sight seeing.
Pluses: excellent concierge team, comfortable beds. Minuses: all the rest, namely no security in an area that demands it, poor F&B offering, bad sound insulation in rooms. Not up to par for 4 stars.

Concierge lounge serves a great breakfast. If you are not gold or platinum status ask for access - worth the extra money for the selection and convenience. You can stock up on water and soda too.

Brandon & Henrietta are Amazingly friendly & super helpful at the Concierge Table. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly. one bdrm surprisingly good sized. Such an enjoyable stay.

We love staying here. It's in a great location to the wharf and the cable cars. The concierge always has really good recommendations and the staff is very friendly. Try the Blue Mermaid next door!

Room 453 has an awesome view of Alcatraz. You can crank out the window and hear the street musicians from your room. Don't miss the free wine in the lobby from 5-6p at all Kimpton properties.

Favorite spa in SF. If you can't arrive early, definitely plan on staying late. Great relaxation lounges with tea and treats to read or get some writing done.
