SFist: The meat in the beef tongue steam buns is braised and then caramelized in a sweet and tangy sauce, and perfectly tender, and sits in perfectly airy buns crusted with poppy seeds. Read more.
Sherry Li: This place is awesome. If you can, do the Ohana table with $55pp tasting menu. The pate, poke, beef tongue buns, calamari salad, and clams are really good.
Stephanie Ge: One of my favorite places to eat in the city. Highly recommend their beef tongue bao, squid and tripe salad, HOMEMADE SPAM, and short rib/bone marrow. Expect to spend around $60/person.
jocelyn L.: Spicy chicken and cola braised pork buns are the way to go!
AFAR Media: They have a small menu of steamed & baked buns with exotic fillings (including a great vegetarian offering), but everything is unique, well-prepared, & fresh. There's always a line but worth the wait. Read more.
Adam Sampson: The Steamed Bao are delicious. Great mix of tasty protein, flavorful veggies and sauces. All are worth trying.
Jason Luk: The butter is a once in a lifetime experience but way too heavy for multiple consumptions. The two in one order custard pineapple buns are the way to go, freshly warmed of course!
Claire: Best pineapple custard bun!
Stephanie Wei: Loved their pineapple buns! Super soft bread with lots of interesting options for fillings. The pineapple puffs are just mini versions and you get 2 in an order. Would skip pork mochi
