Casa Navarro is nestled in downtown San Antonio. The half-acre site is the restored home of Texas patriot José Antonio Navarro (1795 - 1871).
The history is amazing! Everything is well kept and it's overall amazing.
Beautiful mission. One of my favorites of the 5 missions in San Antonio.
Established in 1720, it became known as the "Queen of the Missions" for its grand design of stone walls, bastions and magnificent church.
Quirky market with lots of souvenirs to take home. Nice restaurant at the end too.

It's a big flea market with several vendors. They're really friendly, and you can attempt to barter prices. Some have really great things, some junk, but a great & colorful experience.
Simple & serene, with a nice little museum and a garden. San Juan gets a bad rap due to its simplicity. But each mission has its own character & importance, and they’re all worth visiting!
Mission San Juan's fertile farmlands allowed it to be self-sustainable; its chapel and bell tower are still in use today.
This mission needs some love. All mission looked clean ,lawn cut everything looked good. This is the only mission needs a lot of attention. Cut the lawn.
Nice saloon bar, once visited by Teddy Roosevelt. Friendly staff, where you can grab tips on where to visit in San Antonio.
It was historically charming, service was excellent w/ very reasonable drink prices I wouldn't expect to find in an upscale hotel.

San Fernando Cathedral, founded in 1731, is the oldest, continuously functioning religious community in Texas. Teams started race day 3 here at the San Fernando Cathedral! –Race to the Alamo
Texas hero James Bowie married Ursula de Veramendi in its sanctuary, and Mexican General Santa Anna used the church as a lookout.
You will need at least half a day to take in all the missions here. Especially true if you're into photography. There's a lot of ground to cover, so bike or drive. Walk if you want to dedicate a day.
So, everybody knows about the Alamo. But, those that want to head further south can visit the other 4 missions of San Antonio inside of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.
It boasts the best preserved segments of the historic acequias (the irrigation system designed to provide water for crops), part of which includes the still working Espada Dam and Aqueduct. Read more.
