Oh my goodness- this is my favorite tapas restaurant in NYC. I always make it a point to come on my birthday and anniversaries. Their red sangria is DELICIOUS and sneaky!! ALL of the food is amazing.

Sit at the bar. Make friends w/the bartenders, they know the ins & outs. Samantha was a huge help & her recommendations were spot on. Squid -spinach garbanzo bean salad-shrimp-shishito peppers.
This is quickly turning into my go-to lunch spot. Any of the bocadillos rival what you'd find in Barcelona. Also, you could fill yourself up on FREE SAMPLES of chorizo & cheese alone - amuse bouche!
The picante is spicy and delicious. Chorizo with Basque peppers, tomatoes, a soft cheese, and a healthy dose of olive oil on a big crusty ciabatta.
After eating, buy some ingredients for a DIY paella: Bomba rice, olive oil, chorizo, pimentón, and saffron. Ask at the counter, and they'll cheerfully give instructions for cooking the rice. Read more.

I am in love with this completely perfect tapas restaurant. You walk in, and everyone has a stupid smile on their face. Must be the oysters, sardines, escalivadas, and chilled wines.

it’s good but relatively middling ratings on da internet make sense—not great, and expensive. liked the tripe best, couldn’t put my finger on what it reminded me of. Skip white asparagus (boring food)
Visit El Pote if you want a real Spanish dinner. Order the paella Valencia and red sangria. If you're lucky there will be live music!

Sit at the bar and snack on the pinxtos. Pulpo and papas, scallop tin, and blood sausages are also a must try! And don't forget tinto de verano!
On Tuesday nights, they serve $1 pintxos at the bar, meaning if you're not a lush like me, you can have an $8 dinner and try everything on the menu.

Get yellow rice, chicken stew and plantains it's so good. One platter is enough for two people or two meals.

Decent Spanish food with a fun atmosphere. Go there for a date, if you are going for the food Mercado Little Spain or Ernesto’s are better. Pil pil cod is outstanding! Lovely decorations!

I thought empanadas were always baked and this one is fried. But still, very tasteful and with spicy sauce. I ate the one with mushrooms, amazing!

Get Gastroarte's “Gazpacho Bloody Mary,” a soup-inspired ‘tail made with plum tomatoes, garlic cloves, Spanish onion, and white bread, for a taste that just can’t be wheat.
Love the gambas al ajillo and the sangria for the $10 happy hour. The jamón sandwiches were mostly apple bits. Disappointing
