Spicy Ramen with medium firm noodles really hit the spot. The spicy pork bun was better than regular pork bun. Happy Hour from 4:30pm-6:30pm. Half off drinks and apps. $2 Sapporo draft!
One of the best kept secrets of NY. Sake, banging pork buns, amazing ramen (haven't had one yet I don't like), and Sapporo on draft! Just no ramen take out :0(

Start the night off with a Sapporo during happy hour (ends at 7) and then black sesame chicken, okonomi yaki, kakuni (simmered pork belly), and shoyu ramen.
Every special they had on my visit this evening was worth every penny! From the $ 8.00 pitcher of Kirin beer to the House Sake! No matter what we ordered, the end result was A+...Go there and enjoy!

Modern with poached egg is undeniably the best ramen I've ever had. Ever. Drink with an ice cold Sapporo. Heaven.

Good solid list of sake, Sapporo on tap cheap, hamachi Kama, sushi ten (slightly on small side), fried octopus dusted with green tea powder and scallop maki! Good stuff!
Try the Sapporo ramen, based on a chicken stock.
Matsumen is really different (no broth), but you can't go wrong with any of the options (Okinawa has a nice bright citrus taste while Sapporo is packed with umami flavor). Matcha cocktail is awesome!
Beautiful seafood-based broth (get the Kyoto style!), eclectic rotating selection of oysters. Nicest owners that put care into every detail.
It's all about the Beer. Try Yebisu Japanese beer.
Don't order any cocktails here (not great). Ask for the plum wine of get a recommendation on one of the Japanese beers they've got
Great place for post work drinks, food, and music. Get the cod roe spaghetti and the brown sugar plum wine. Bar tenders gave us a free cocktail to try out!

Great little Japanese mart near Grand Central. Awesome take out food with sit down area upstairs. Japanese dry goods and some housewares. A good little spot when your in the neighborhood.
Everything here is the highest of high quality - from the premium Sapporo beer to the wasabi. Must try. Worth the money.

More than Ramen! Great Japanese Small plates Edamame, Cauliflower, pork buns, karage, spicy wings & noodles (with or without broth) all are fantastic. Wash it down with a cold Sapporo and some Sake.
