The fried bread is amaze. We had the tuna dip (really good), the shrimp noodles (great) and the redfish with salsa verde (awesome) with a side of Brussels and the pineapple rum cake. #yum

Incredible. The fried bread, grilled royal red shrimp, brussels sprouts with chili vinegar: all were simply stunning. Best restaurant we visited in our week in New Orleans.

Great fried chicken (best by some opinions, #2 in mine), good red beans, but definitely the best cornbread. Short hours, long lines...but worth at least a trip. Possible celebrity sightings... I did.

Tried the quail, pecan crusted drum fish, speckled trout, the infamous turtle soup, & bread soufflé. Was impressed with the drum & bread pudding soufflé. Everything else was edible.

Pretty chill. Probably better for lunch than breakfast, but the breakfast tacos were good and so was the banana Nutella bread.
On Sunday mornings, buy fresh baked bread sold from the back of a car. Get there early, she sells out quick.

The French Bread makes the perfect size Po-Boy. It keeps well in the freezer, when stored in freezer bags, for that great sandwich, anytime.
Bring some French bread home, warm in a 300-degree oven for 5 minutes, and enjoy some crispy chewy bread goodness.

Every bite was perfection. I wanted filet minon. I spotted Eggs Hussard: filet minon, grilled French bread, tomato, poached eggs, oysters +the sauces. I est. it had 4 oz. of steak, plenty for me!

A vegan bakery with a long list of house-made breads and pastries.
Muffanada, their version of a vegan muffuletta. Turn most of their vegan sandwiches into po-boys ordering them on French bread, sometimes find vegan doberge cake, bread pudding, and mushroom étouffée.
Complimentary cornbread and the alligator cheesecake appetizer are AMAZING. Be prepared for a wait (1+ hr on a Tuesday night for me) but drinks are cheap outside.
The cornbread for starters is incredible, just watch your appetite.
My personal favorites were the crawfish étouffée, gumbo, and fried oyster on salad (free appetizer), cornbread is heavenly, grilled oysters if they have them! Make a reservation
