THe big Oktoberfest-style pretzels sold in the Schwemme by pretzl-girls are delicious. Kitchen is open till midnight or later, though a smaller menu is offered after 10pm. Get chicken and apfelstrudel
A must do once in your life (at least!). Get a pretzel from the pretzel girls, listen to the oompa band, order a schnitzel, and enjoy the beer (I loved the Dark Radler in particular).

Protip: bring your own food (cheese, ham, salad, etc.). Buy drinks and pretzels there.
Now THIS is my kind of beer hall. Not too crowded or touristy, but still lively and fun. The waiters are really nice, and even spoke English with me. The pretzels are delicious (and aren't stale!)
Food was good and beer is great! Pretzels are not free (1.10 euro) Got a platter with everything and shared it. Was more than enough for us!

I love the "Brezenhörnchen" - that's a croissant with the base of the pretzel on the outside. Very light and with special taste. Ideal to put Obatzda, spread cheese or marmalade / Nutella on it.

Great beer hall helpful staff. Busy vibe and quality tasty beer. Food was average but cheap. Not sure about the potato dumpling didn't enjoy these. Pretzels are a winner. As a tourist it is a must do.

Open air biergarten / beer garden in the heart of downtown in the market. Perfect place to take a break from site seeing, rest your feet and enjoy a cold litre of beer, and a pretzel too.
Really amazing beer garden right in the centre of the city a couple of minutes walk from Marienplatz. Beer served rotates between the big Munich 6 so not always guaranteed your favourite.
Dude you buy beer from is a jerk, but the beer is good.
A very nice surprise!! Roasted chicken perfect, salat and the best pretzel (I promise). It looks like a tourist trap but nonsense is pretty good... the ducks and swans are the place attraction 😍
The ultimate in fine Bavarian cusine. Traditional dishes and seasonal specialties. Wild game, seafood, suck and some of the Bavarian favorites. A must on your first visit to beautiful Munich.
