Great east village dive. Cheap beer and buck hunter. So yes, I end up here regularly.
If you have the energy to close out a night right, this is the place to do it. They filmed some of Crocodile Dundee and Godfather II here, to give you a sense of its grand tattered quality.

Decrepit, small and less than stable bar stools come to mind when we think of Sophie’s, but you can’t beat the cheap drinks, and it’s a good place to play pool.
I love this place. Great dive bar with low, warm lights, 2-for-1 happy hour drinks (if you tip!), and consistently great music. Plus the bartenders are v cool.

Drinks are cheap, the jukebox is well curated, the music is loud, B movies run on loop on a projector in the back, and it's dingy without being unpleasant.
