Gabe Gloden: One our favorite dining experiences in the D. Great food, service and atmosphere. I always have a huge smile on my face when I'm there. Go for the pastrami, swiss and slaw on their onion roll!
Eater: It won't surprise Hygrade fans that chef Chuck Hughes said their Reuben was the best thing he ate during his week in the city, but why stop there? Everything else gets rave reviews. [Eater 38 Member]

Lyndsi Winer: Only have had their potato salad but, that was good. Hear they are the best in Detroit and can't wait to go back and find out!
Varun Shetty: One of the best restaurants in Detroit. 2 entrees feed 3 people - pulled pork and brisket should be on your list. Same with mac n cheese and cornbread. Killer local draft selection too.

Vera Devera: Hands down, the best vegan soul food I've had (better than Souley Vegan in Oakland, CA). They had run out of collard greens but the kale braised in soy sauce was excellent.
Holly Laginess: Will be dreaming of the Collard Green Spring Rolls until I return... Order them! If you like spice! Yum!
Danyelle Claxton: The food was excellent. Two thumbs up !
ᴡᴡᴡ.Graham.linodxz.ru Davis: Right up there for the best fried chicken in Detroit. Well worth the wait. Mac and cheese and peach cobbler also good. Even if there is a long line, it will move quickly.
Travel Channel: Andrew Zimmern and Detroit News columnist Chuck Bennett came to try classic food that Martha Clay brought up from Mississippi. Andrew eats oxtails, chitlins & okra. As seen on Bizarre Foods America.
Eater: Diners swear by the smothered pork chops, fried chicken, mac & cheese, and the peach cobbler for dessert. It's pure Detroit, and worth the tricky parking situation and the wait. [Eater 38 Member] Read more.
