Awesome new rooftop with relatively cheap beer and great views of NYC. Get there right at 4pm when they open or be prepared to wait in line.
The view is amazing and the ambiance is great. Would be an awesome date spot. The staff was really nice and accommodating and there is a coat check.

This is a great place to watch a sunset over the Eastern Manhattan skyline. You will see both the Empire State building and One World Trade Center from this park.

The park that gave the neighborhood its name is a perfect place (especially at sunset) for a swim or a picnic with a knockout view of the waterfront. It also had a recent face-lift.
The best view of the downtown Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty is on he southwest side of the hill in front of the enclosed soccer field.
