Fantastic Sichuan food from Cafe China team with a hip vibe. Wontons in chili oil, soup dumplings, Dan Dan, ma po, cumin lamb, fried rice, and kung pao chicken all great.
Go if you're looking for something that's not General Tso's. I recommend the crispy fried chicken, fried ho fun noodles, watercress salad, and dan dan noodles. Drinks are fantastic too.
Tha block is hot! Awesome little hot sauce store with a nice diverse selection. They'll let you taste test any before buying.
The spicy grapefruit juice is incredible as a mimosa alongside some amazing fried chicken with killer key lime pie for dessert.
The Spicy MC Bomb is the most amazing combination of textures and flavors. Definitely give it a try!
Owner Paul Giannone has a gift for great topping combos. My favorites are the Anise & Anephew and the Hellboy (hot soppressata & spicy honey). For brunch, the Monte Cristo is absolutely craveworthy. Read more.
The Hellified Porkpie White: fior di latte, spicy soppressata, sweet fennel sausage, garlic, basil, red onions and most importantly: Mike's hot honey, is a thing of utter beauty.
Try the Cherry Blossom (with prosciutto, dried Bing cherries and orange blossom honey) or the Rooftop Red (with marinated baby kale and Aleppo chili oil). Read more.
Pizza is indulgent: like the best Pizza Hut pan pizza ever (pepperoni and neopolitan win), spicy chicken sandwich was quite bomb as well. 9.6 is early opening hype tho
If you can handle the tight space, you're in for a tasty (and spicy! and affordable!) Mexican treat. Three musts: guava margaritas, ezquites (corn) and tinga de pollo tacos.
Top 3 bbq in NYC worth the ResdHook trek. Brisket as good at Mighty Quinn's, and a unique lamb belly banh mi sandwich where the sweet and spicy sauce cut the lamb fat perfectly.
The brisket is a must... so is the pulled pork, ribs, any of the sandwiches, sausages, sriracha hot wings, queso mac ‘n’ cheese, cole slaw, beans, collared greens and the corn bread. Ok just have it. Read more.
