The beertenders are earnestly friendly. Do note that their French fries are weirdly stubby all the time, though tasty. The Brussels sprouts are either clutch or a disaster - nothing in between.

Best thing about this place is the staff. Very knowledgeable and friendly. They stock some unusual South African proteas and have the best selection of bamboo that I know of In the Bay Area. Pricey!

What's good here? EVERYTHING! This is one of my all time favorites in the East Bay. Try the Zucchini Ribbon Salad, any of the pizzas, whole spaghetti with pesto reduction sauce, etc., etc.
If you're an enthusiast, this is the kind of store you want to hang out in all day long. It's very large, amazing selection of everything from lenses to studio lighting. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Great camera store, way bigger than their old location. Plenty of parking in rear - no need to park on Ashby. Also they carry Impossoble Project film for polaroid cameras.
