Lonsome Dove is not only delicious but very authentic and awesome. The service is outstanding. Try the rabbit-rattlesnake sausage, it's very delicious. I would also recommend the stable sirloin stake!

Simply awesome barbeque, be it ribs, brisket or sausage. We go whenever we have guests from out of state because it's so Texas and never disappoints.
Got the 3 meat platter: sausage, pulled pork & 2nd cut brisket with homemade bread. Don't get the margarita grande tho- they served it in martini glasses. Food is awesome & view is wonderful!!
Brisket & sausage were delicious! Beans & homemade bread were also really good! I subbed the cole slaw & potato salad for a baked potato, which I would do again. Overall, so good!
My favorites: sausage, brisket, turkey, potato salad. The Mexican Martinis are great, and a chocolate shake for the drive home makes a great dessert.
I'm a Kansas City barbeque snob, and most Texas barbeque doesn't meet my expectations...except Rudy's. The brisket is flavorful, the turkey is amazing, and the sausage is very tasty.

Rudy's does have excellent sausage & brisket. I think the sauce is too peppery but you may like it just fine. The cream corn is loaded w/ the heavy cream & butter that will make your heart sing out!
The Kerlins are newbies, but have made a strong showing right off the bat: They use sweet-smelling pecan wood and crank out pork ribs and sausage to die for.
Fall off the bone pork ribs, beef sausage with great snap and flavor, and moist brisket with tasty bark. No line at noon on a Friday. Will have to come in morning for kolaches next time.
The pork ribs and sausage are unreal. Pass on the coleslaw, it's made with cheese and too heavy for a hot summer day.
The chorizo is handmade so make sure you get a taco with it!
