Good music. Great acoustics. Intimate setting for live music. Really crowded, though. You have to crawl over people to get to the bar on Friday and Saturday nights.

Don't park in the lot across the street, even if it's late and all the shops are closed. A dozen of us got towed after the MSI show! $190 to get the van back!
Great venue that actually has some of their own parking. Acoustics are pretty good as well. Walgreens across the street has 10 ear plugs for $6 ;)

Walk a few doors east (towards the highway) for one of my favorite places to get post/pre show drinks – Shakespeares. Make sure to head to the roof. – Robert F.

Built in 1915, the Paramount, is home to Austin’s red carpet film premieres and is part of the SXSW and the Austin Film Festival. Including opener The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, & final The East.
Great venue for concerts, but beware that it is open air!
I love this place! I was here for F1 and opening night with Kenny Chesney now Jimmy Buffet top service, sound and accessibility to parking. I highly recommend it. Park in lot B or C for easy parking
We were in section 102 and the restrooms for that area were clean, close, and plentiful. When there was a wait, it wasn't long. Venue is beautiful and I love the pedicab service to the parking area!
The minor plate is more than enough food. You can't go wrong with the ribs and pulled pork.

It looks like a shack but it's got the soul that results from 150 years of Austin history. There are also always loads of great metal bands playing here at SXSW.
Super cool rooftop terrace. The night we were there the DJ was super nice and played everything we asked for! Also reasonable prices.
