Take a few minutes, even in winter, to explore the central Rose Garden. Lots of flowers with silly names, and plenty of sculpture.
Excellent Mexican food and Margaritas. Guacamole is fresh, homemade corn tortillas and the range of tequilas offered is incredible. Down-side is price and that you have to pay £5 for chips and salsa.
Right on the canal path, in view of the longboats moored along the banks, the Waterway makes good use of its location, with a decent-sized decked area out front. Read more.
