Steven A. • February 8, 2015Another great art museum not often frequented by tourists. A small but intriguing collection of African art and a nice gift shop as well.
Sofia C. • December 31, 2015Don't overlook this museum! The Japanese Rinpa screens, Chinese bronzes, Islamic ceramics and Indian statuettes are breathtaking. You can come for The Peacock Room but the Asian art is well worth it.
Miguel d. • May 19, 2015Favorite. Sculpture garden and multi-level modern art museum in the heart of the mall; usually overlooked since few people can figure out the entrance. Worth the detour.
Sofía S. • August 24, 2013I like to go when it's rainy to avoid being bumped into along the garden path.
Cori G. • November 11, 2017Out of this world interactive art installation. Will forever change the art scene in DC! Brilliant!
Catherine • July 15, 2011Many of the classes offered through the Smithsonian are in classrooms here. Enter through the kiosk next to the Castle, this museum is underground, and for the most part peaceful and quiet.
Al C. • July 27, 2015Great art museum, heavily censored history museum. No mention of genocide, not much of warfare. There's a long ugly history of how the Smithsonian treats American Indians. Good food but overpriced.
Peter F. • May 29, 2022Interesting that when I was at the Bilbao Guggenheim last week they were also featuring A Marcel Duchamp exhibit. No it was Dubuffet, not Duchamp
David H. • March 20, 2010Check out the children's art gallery.
