Secretly some of the best river views of the city, from the Corlears Hook view of the Statue of Liberty, to the promenade under the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.
Start in the East Village and go to Chinatown. Seeing people playing sports, the small garden areas, the water views, even the craziness of the FDR reminds me why I love this diverse, exciting city.
This is one of the nicest parks in NYC second to Central Park & Hudson River Park. Biking, jogging, walking, skating, dog walking, BBQ, anything you can think of. Enjoy a nice day here or a few hours

Relaxing park with water views that is an easy walk from the 190 St stop on the A line. Significant landscaping, stone work, old trees. The Cloisters can be found here too.

This is a great spot to grab a weekend lunch - not too crowded, plenty of fantastic options, and water views.
Absolutely love this place. It's food court food, but just feels so fancy with the marble and water views and everything. Also, the selection of restaurants is great.

A beautiful, somewhat secluded granite park and monument. Fantastic river views and a unique look at the east side.
Offers a beautiful view of the city. It's especially pretty when the cherry blossoms lining the walk are in bloom.
Sit down, relax, and watch the speed boats, party boats, sail boats, cargo barges, FDR and Queensborough bridge drivers, tramways, helicopters, air planes, pedestrians, and puppies go by!

This park is an UES gem. Beautiful walk ways, views and plenty of places to lounge or picnic. Also the home of Gracie Mansion. Bring your dog! Excellent dog parks for both large and small pups.
