The tables are a little tight, but the food is worth it and it feels cozy - like you are on a very stable ship.
Excellent steak frites, charcuterie boards, and the bread is amazing! Service is very, very good (and often in French if you are so inclined).
Wine flights (+) - hh until 7 for $12. Cheese & Meat board (+) - get manchego, goat cheese, not compte). Honey, goat, chicken liver mouse, and meat combo was (+). Not big fan of fried artichokes.

They have two stable ramens and experiment ever so often. Gyoza is sometimes offered too. No seats, standing only. Credit is now accepted. Great food, but not worth it if there's a long wait.
Vegetarian miso ramen is so good. Perfect for a cold winters night
The ramen is classic, almost as well executed as Ippudo and much lighter, and tastes as good as the wait is painful. Arrive before 6 or wait 90m. Split the two daily ramens.
Decrepit, small and less than stable bar stools come to mind when we think of Sophie’s, but you can’t beat the cheap drinks, and it’s a good place to play pool.
