╰⊰✿ *~Shira Lyla~* ✿⊱╮: Schweinshaxe bavarian pork shank was good! Sausage Platters, bauernwurst, weisswurst, & bratwurst with potato salad, red cabbage sauerkraut were yummy.
Jonathan Oatis: Great cold cuts and German deli food like potato salad and red cabbage. My go-to for weisswurst.
Colin M. Ford: This is certainly one of the most magical places on the UES. An institution for a century plus, you know your meat is well taken-care of.

Michelle S: Split the Jaeger Schnitzel entree with a friend and it was rich but delicious. Spaetzle was crisp and buttery and the red cabbage was perfectly tart and sweet. Order it with beer and you can't lose.
Christian Dickmann: Had the veal paprika schnitzel. Was not bad overall, Red cabbage and spaetzle were good, but the sauce (while not bad) could have been a lot better. Felt the place was overpriced for what it offered.
Thomas Pajor: I had the Sauerbraten. The Braten itself and the red cabbage were pretty good (the cabbage was excellent), the (single!!) Knödel that came with was pretty bland though.

Robin: Skip Zum Schneider and go here for a warm, uncrowded and authentic experience. It feels like you're in another country (Serbia!). The burger is atypical, with delicious red cabbage and onions.
Behrad Eats: You'll find some real authentic Balkan food here. Go for the Svinjska plecka, a savory braised pork shoulder served with mashed potatoes and a red cabbage salad.
Desirée MacDonald: One of my favourite restaurants in NY. Cute, rustic atmosphere with the most incredible food and staff. Go with a group and get the family style prix-fixe, I promise you won't regret it.

Veronica Dragonetti: Fries chicken with red cabbage. Delicious the chips with parmigiano

Dorina Yuen: Intimate space with happy staff. Love the red cabbage salad, meatballs, and can happy eat the sausage platter for two all by myself. Don't miss White Asparagus season.
Nina LoSchiavo: You cannot go wrong with their schnitzel or any of their sausage platters. Make sure to have some spätzle while you're at it!
Nicky Digital: Try the food or the beer!

Jaim: The whole trout is a must try! Very well done, very tasty and it's filleted. Pistachio crusted goat cheese is amazing with the caramelized red cabbage.
Nauman Noor: Charcuterie and cheese plate is the way to go. Paired with white wine, it is hard to go wrong.
Serious Eats: A killer happy deal: from 5 to 7 p.m., the bar offers three generous half-pours of any wine for $10.
PureWow: The falafel salad can be customized with hummus, couscous, red cabbage slaw, roti rice and tons of other flavorful Mediterranean ingredients. Read more.
Joe Holder: Great, tasty, and healthy (if done right) fare. Staff is extremely accommodating and truly wanted to make sure I had the best experience. Was genuine, not forced. Falafel with red pepper sauce 👌

Ben Hickey: The best sandwich in the world: beef brisket & red cabbage
Paul Lomax: Controversially, I didn't actually enjoy the Brisket Sandwich. However, I loved everything on the 'raw bar' menu! Great grilled fish (Skate) too, and a good wine list (esp the Santorini).
Jared Milano: The bathroom is one of the best I've seen.. if you come on a date and want to ditch, just go to the "WC" and climb up the ladder and out the window.
