Very nice park to sit down and relax in. There is some nice modern art through out the park and you can see the flat iron building. The flat iron district is a very neat area!

Come here at dusk and go to the North End of the Park, it's a peaceful, quiet spot. Also, look for the Ghandi statue - It's pretty neat!

Carl Schurz Park is a perfect place to relax for those who look for grassy areas outside of Central Park. A small field is perfect for sunbathicng or reading and a dog park lets pets run around.
This park is an UES gem. Beautiful walk ways, views and plenty of places to lounge or picnic. Also the home of Gracie Mansion. Bring your dog! Excellent dog parks for both large and small pups.
A lovely neighborhood park on the eastern edge of Yorktown in the UES. There are two dog parks and benches all along the water with great views. Very calming especially in the evenings.

don't miss the gardens overlooking the hudson just off the circle drive near the park entrance closest to the 190th a-train upper level stop! they're beautiful! easily my favorite park in the city.

I honestly believe that Battery Park is the best park of New York besides Central Park. It's super fun, spacious, calming, and holds many exciting shows and museums! Go visit in spring/summer!
