Not quite a dive bar but certainly not an upscale joint, just a good local spot. They've got pool, darts, and even a basketball game to pass the time. Plus who can argue with free potato chips?

Everything is fresh. So much gfree products to choose from. Some things are a bit pricey, but seriously, the options outweigh cost.
La Colombe Coffee! The lox cream cheese is loaded with salmon. They will also scoop out breading from the middle of bagel if you ask (gluten-lite!).
seriously best bagels in NYC - whole wheat everything w sundried tomato spread is the bomb.
bring a book, pick up a bagel and head to one of the nearby parks for a lazy morning.

It beats the atmosphere of many of the joints in Times Square area. Great staff, good beers, and awesome food.
Get over the prices, people - it's New York freakin' City in case you haven't noticed. This place is actually a good deal in the Times Square.
Brunch was fantastic. Great ambiance, good food, reasonable price, location, just a block from Times Square, not crowded. Will definitely go there again.
Terrific soul food. The chicken & waffle with strawberry butter is a classic. Tuesday night live band music was incredible R&B, great singer and keyboard. Local crowd, Greta atmosphere, great service!

A pleasant place for breakfast (anytime!) or lunch. The waiters and owners are some of the best in the business.
Just get the specials. Perfect portions and awesome flavor! I had sliced steak with mushrooms. Yummy!

I used to come here a lot in grad school. I love it. I later found a NYmag article in which various celebs talked about favorite low key spots. This was Ad Rock's. Try the pechuga de pollo.
