P. D.: Possibly the best bar in Manhattan.
Esquire: Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. Boxing posters and Christmas lights: a perfect place. Get a $3 Bud Light.
Village Voice: One of the few places near Times Square NOT packed with tourists, escape the commotion and if you’re lucky Jimmy himself might be around to make you a signature Hurricane.

Port Harbor Homes: This is a great place. Laid back, friendly and a great beer selection. Stop every time we're in NYC.
Matt Doherty: This place has history for a lot of people. Have a beer over your next big idea here. I told myself I wanted to move to NYC at this bar, 8 months later I moved down the block without even realizing it

Stefano Battaglia: In this Communist-themed bar you'll find dimmed lights and a friendly Barman with excellent taste in music (the mission and my bloody valentine among the others)! Well worth a visit if you're in NYC
Janice: Feels like a Communist when I'm here. Uh-oh parents wouldn't like that, would they...?
Sherry Citron: Came back after 10 years and still the same awesome place. Erik is still the best!
Paddy: Perfect dive bar that represents everything I love about the East Village. Mix of local, national and international beers and decent whiskey selection. Great atmosphere and great place to drink.
Men's Health Mag: If you have the energy to close out a night right, this is the place to do it. They filmed some of Crocodile Dundee and Godfather II here, to give you a sense of its grand tattered quality.
Uber NYC: An East Village institution, you'll often see film shoots at this bar. Lots of inexpensive beers, but you can also class up with your evening with some champagne. A dive bar with Dom P. :)

Sam Brown: Extensive Belgian, German and British beers in bottles. Don't miss the two local brews on tap, names on the blackboard. Cash only.
Dens: Diviest dive-bar in the West Village? Lots of beers on the menu (too many?) and definitely not enough light to read the list. Ask the bartender to pick something awesome.
Untapped Cities: FUN FACT: Take a page out of Alice in Wonderland and follow the rabbit down the hole into this “craft beer bar.”

Mary Doyle: My favorite bar in Harlem. A real jukebox (no touch screen!), giant Jenga, shuffleboard, and big buck hunter. Plus beers are cheap.
Alex Fish: The HP and Leaning Tower Grilled Cheese options are on point
Jillian Nichols: The owners are from Cleveland, if you wear a Browns shirt you just might get your drinks for free!
Nicky Petroni: Cheap drinks, good vibes, and a great place to start your night out
Lisa: I was digging the music, you can't go wrong with 90's pop.
Dustin Haley: Small, but good little gay bar that definitely had a more local feel to it than some others I had visited.
