Soda machines from the future. 4K projection. Reclining, so-comfortable-you-risk-falling-asleep chairs. And best of all, pre-reserved seating (row E was the perfect distance from the screen)

This is THE place to go see an IMAX movie in the city. And if that’s not your thing, this theater does showcase more independent features. And the theater is clean and pleasant.

Hedda Lettuce hosts Cinema Classics on Thursdays - get there early (there's a line!) for some truly great old movies at this fun, campy local tradition. Bonus: Rocky Horror midnight shows on weekends!
The films are shown in the original 35mm format and the sound and visual quality was terrific. The seats are incredibly comfortable. And the gourmet movie theatre snacks are equally impressive.

One of the more pleasant movie theaters in the city because its not overly crowded. Ticket machine pro-tip -- Swipe with the stripe UP! Its counter-intuitive yes, but everyone struggles with it.

The IMAX here is just one of those big screens branded IMAX. It's not a real IMAX! Don't be fooled! (Lincoln Center is the best alternative.)
One bathroom for 14 theaters? Seriously? It’s on the second floor, so make a trip before the movie starts, or you could miss the pivotal scene while making the long trek.
My husband and I could watch movies all day here. The membership is definitely worth it. They have great 2-for-1 movies as well. Beware the popcorn is made with peanut oil which I'm allergic to.
