Amazing place to see amazing artists. Make sure to come during the weekday and during work hours if possible, gets very crowded on Fridays and weekends with tourist traffic.
World class Egyptian art section - a must visit for every belly dancer. After exploring, check behind the building to see Cleopatra's Needle, an obelisk brought to Central Park from Egypt in 1881.

Come for the special exhibitions, but also be sure to see the Ancient Greek/Roman art, the modern art, arms & armor, and the European paintings.

My local public park...what is there NOT to like? perfect size, various activity spaces (dog run, fountain, park benches, green lawns, art space, etc.) AND Shake Shack. 'nuff said.
